... I was looking for a health and eco-conscious mat. While this mat is free of PVC and latex, it still has a noxious smell which interferes with my yoga practice. It is possible that the smell will off-gas over time, but I'm not keeping it long enough to find out. It is made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) which is a blend of plastic and rubber; this makes it better than the cheaper all-synthetic mats which may also contain harmful PVCs, but it's still not all that "green". It is a good size: 24"W x 68"L x .18"(4mm) thick. It provides good cushioning but it is only mildly textured and offers poor traction. After using it every day for two weeks, I'm returning it. ...
